Everyone should be able to use this website, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboards, or assistive technology. Chimney For Dallas aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
What we’ve built in
- Semantic HTML structure: proper header, nav, main content, and footer landmarks, plus a logical heading hierarchy on every page
- Breadcrumb navigation marked up with nav and ARIA labels
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and aria-hidden decorative icons
- Color contrast chosen to remain readable, and layouts that reflow on any screen size without sideways scrolling
- Keyboard-reachable menus, including focus states for the dropdown navigation
Known limitations
Embedded third-party content, such as the Google map on our city pages, relies on the provider’s own accessibility. We link to a text alternative wherever we can.
